You upload a PDF or use an agreement you generated in CollabSafe, mark where each person signs, and send a secure signing link by email or WhatsApp. Signers draw or type their signature, and once everyone has signed, all parties get the final signed PDF. Each signature is recorded with a timestamp, the signer's email and their IP address, so there is an audit trail behind the document.
Electronic signatures are recognised in India under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and a signed record with a clear audit trail is far stronger evidence of agreement than a WhatsApp thread or an unsigned email attachment.

Are electronic signatures valid in India?
Electronic signatures are recognised under the Information Technology Act, 2000. A document signed through CollabSafe carries the signer's identity details, a timestamp and an IP record, which together evidence who agreed and when.
Does the other party need a CollabSafe account?
No. Signers open the secure link you send and sign in their browser. Only the person sending the document needs an account.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes. The signature pad adapts to the screen, so a signer can draw with a finger on a phone or tablet, or type a signature instead.
What file types can I send for signature?
PDF documents, including agreements you generate inside CollabSafe and contracts a brand sends you as a PDF.
How do I know if someone has read the document?
The signing tracker shows when a document was viewed and when each party signed, and you can send a reminder to anyone who has not signed yet.
Can more than two people sign?
Yes. Add each signer with their own email and signature position, and the document completes once every signer has finished.
Is the signed document stored securely?
